What is the main point?
Ubicomp is a vision for a ‘calm’ and human-centred kind of ubiquitous computing, it can be explained with the meaning of everywhere. It needs multifaceted miniature sensors and drivers and scaling up through new Internet protocol practices provide decentralized networking capabilities for billions of computing entities worldwide. Ubicomp has become real in new and different ways, and it also enables wireless mobile devices to achieve unprecedented distributed popularity.
Does it connect to my practice?
This article introduce the concept of Ubicomp to me, It forms a new platform with mobile devices, expanding through the web. Breaking the boundaries of time and space fills every aspect of my life. Its mobility is related to interaction design which is what I am learning. In exploring the complexity brought by the development of mobile devices, we should not underestimate the difference between them and the net information and its significance to the cultural life experience.
